and In with the New!

In honor of the new year, my friend Andrea got her little one Ryan a 2011 sash and Happy New Year top hat!  After posting her pictures on Facebook, I had to run over and get some shots for myself.  So Thanks to Andi and Ryan for the photo shoot!  It was so much fun!

I hope everyone is this happy in 2011!

I think he's giving a toast with an invisible glass.  Here's to imagination and creativity!

I think this one is my favorite!  The look on his face is precious.

Hmm...  I wonder what the new year will bring!

Quiet Company at Walter's on Washington

I went with a few friends to see Quiet Company in Houston about a week ago at Walter's on Washington.  There were four bands that played there that night, but Quiet Company was the best band there!  I have to say I did really like Holy Fiction too.  Quiet Company played 3rd in the line up, and it seemed that most of the crowd was there to see them!  The performance was great!  My friend Angela is now a big fan too - she definitely need a night of good music.  The Good Groupie will be posting about the show too.  Be sure to check it out.  She is much better with words than I am, so onto the pictures!  The lighting was super low, but I'm excited about a lot of these shots.  Let me know what you think!

Welcome to Fall

So this morning, it decided to be cold!  Well, really cool with enough of a wind chill for me to call it cold.  I generally prefer the warmer weather, but it was nice to have a cool off for Thanksgiving.  The morning started with some icy precipitation making for some lovely icicles!

Happy Thanksgiving!

There are so many things to be thankful for this year as always.  Of course I am most thankful for my friends and family and especially for those friends who are like family.  I am also especially thankful for my puppies and kitty who just make life fun!  I am also thankful for all of you who check out my blog and are a fan of my photography!  I hope you look forward to seeing what I come up with each time.

This Thanksgiving I am visiting our neighbors to the north!  No... not Canada, I mean Oklahoma!  It's been very warm here and in Texas... that is until today!  I have to say the weather picked a good day to actually start feeling like a season other than summer.  Good timing Mother Nature!  (My wintery pics from today will be my next post).

I got to set up the decorations!

I love how they turned out.

This crow was just too cute.

I love different kinds of salt and pepper shakers!  These were fun.

Asparagus!

We got to get out the good silverware!

Dive in!

It's not Thanksgiving without the dinner rolls and gravy.

The stuffing was really good - full of raisins and walnuts.

Rissa tried out a new recipe for sweet potatoes.  YUM!

I hope everyone had a wonderful meal filled with good company and some laughs.

Happy Thanksgiving!
