2nd Annual Halloweenie Roast

My friend who loves Halloween (betcha can't guess who) had her Second Annual Halloweenie Roast where some of her friends get together and roast weenies over a little fire pit.    She had a wonderful Halloween mix of music put together to may to help set a spooky mood.  There was also an amazing full moon hanging low in the sky to kick off the evening.

I also learned that saying "I hate bunnies" is supposed to make the smoke from the fire blow away from you.  Being that I love bunnies, I couldn't say it so I had to endure some smoke.  It's okay though, the smoke still got the bunny haters of the night!

Every party needs food and treats!  I'm pretty sure this is one of the top reasons to have this get together.  I even made my grandma's recipe for macaroni and cheese which came out well, but I think it was better last year (my victory was that it didn't stick like glue to the pan this time).

Yummy yummy ghost cupcakes.  I think the ghosts were butter cream of something.  WOW.

So cute too! Err... I mean creepy! ;)

Simply called Witches Brew.  I'm not sure what's in it other than a touch of vodka and ginger ale... green Kool-Aid maybe?  Whatever it is, it's good too!

Her dripping candles were really a nice touch.  Though this shot doesn't really show it, I thought the lines of wax drops along the side looked like a skeleton hand reaching up toward the flame.
No Halloween party is complete without a few skills and some black roses.
Here is my friend Mellie.  She came as someone from the show My So Called Life.  It's been a long time since I've seen that... I can picture the character, but I can't remember her name!  This doesn't really show the costume, but I really liked the snapshot.
Mummy dogs!  They look like little mummies. She was going to add the little mustard eyes, but I'm glad she didn't since I don't care for mustard.  They were SO good though! Mmmm.... I could go for some now actually!

Pumpkin Patch Pretties

A week or so ago I tweeted @ajgphotoetc that I had passed by a super cute pumpkin patch! (now to go slightly off tangent...) I saw this while going with my dad to play disc golf.  So this isn't from playing disc golf on that particular day, but I mentioned it as reason to post a couple pictures of my puppies!  Pepsi has a harness, so I attached my ladybug wings to it and off we went to play disc!  I couldn't resist the reason to put her in a costume of some-sort.  Fajita will have non of wearing a costume, so I was excited that Pepsi would wear one!  (Yes, my dogs are named Fajita and Pepsi)

Pepsi and Fajita all excited to go play.

I love watching them run and play!  Pepsi looks like she's ready for takeoff.

Back to the pumpkin patch... This evening, I had the chance to go and actually see it.  I was very impressed!  Cypress United Methodist Church did a fabulous job putting it all together!  It looks like this is something that they set up every year.  So much work went into it, and there were also some quite unique pumpkins.  There was a little country store setup as well as other well-known character sets.  So cute for taking pictures of the kiddos.  There was even a tiny tiny newborn in a pumpkin outfit that was having his or her picture taken.  It was precious!

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!  I loved the Peanuts gang here.

Aviator Snoopy

Gotta love the giant turkey!

Love pumpkins like this with the veins showing so vividly.

oooOOOOooo The Toy Story group!  Woody, Buzz, Mr. Potato Head, the aliens, Wheezy,  Hamm, Slinky Dog, and Bullseye were are there!

Wheezy is of course my favorite!

I assume this is Old McDonald and his farm.  The chicken cracked me up!

Where's the yellow brick road?

I'm glad I noticed the little stickers on this guy.

Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?  I love Oscar!
Gotta love a penguin pumpkin patch!  The snowman is pretty cute too!

Thus ends my trip to the pumpkin patch.  I wasn't there long, but I couldn't resist sharing!

Evolution of the Good Groupie Pumpkin

One of my best friends is the one and only The Good Groupie(You should check out her blog if you haven't already - best music blog there is!  Check it out here: http://thegoodgroupie.blogspot.com/) As you will see on a recent post of hers, October and Halloween is her favorite time of year (and that's not just because of Oktoberfest beer)!  She also has an odd fascination with pumpkin guts and carving pumpkins.  While being sucked into a small grocery store 'pumpkin patch,' I decided to surprise her last weekend with her very own The Good Groupie Pumpkin!  She knew I was making a surprise for her, but she has no idea what was coming.  She was in shock when I asked her to help me get some things from my car only for her to find the glowing pumpkin sitting in the back of my car.  The surprise was a success!  My only hope was that she hadn't started a Good Groupie pumpkin of her own.  The good news for me was that she was too busy planning her party to carve a pumpkin of her own.  I had documented some of my progress in carving this pumpkin, so I now present the evolution of the Good Groupie pumpkin!

Step one was to pull her logo from her blog and simplify it a bit and print it for a pumpkin template.  I did my own logo too as you will see, but it's not nearly as cool (though I do love it too!).

I actually did this over 2 days.  After some work the first day,  I had a pretty 'good' start!

Mission complete!  I ended up going to Walgreens and finding some sort of manicure tool to help me do the small letters after I busted my tiny Exacto blade.  That ended up being a blessing in disguise.  That new tool was perfect for what I was doing!
The google eyes were my dad's idea!  I thought it was great.  I'm just glad I got them to stick right how I wanted them.  This shot reminds me of doing into a cave or something too.  haha.
One more shot! <3
And here is my AJG Photography Etc Pumpkin!

The Reception - Tom and Ellie Part 4

This really needs no explanation!  After a beautiful wedding, there's gotta be a great follow up party!

So sweet!

I love the little boy on the left side watching!

She was seriously too cute!  She danced all night and was a huge hit!

The ever popular Chicken Dance!

Tom had on his Tango game face!

I'm not sure anyone expected them to do this, but it was awesome.

Bubbles!

I LOVE this image.  I'm quite proud of it.

That ends my series of Tom and Ellie's wedding!  Hope you've enjoyed it. <3

The Ceremony - Tom and Ellie: Part 3

The ceremony was at the perfect time of the evening! The lighting was beautiful shimmering off the lake with the fountain dancing on the water.  There was even a crescent moon starting to show in the clear sky.

They were too precious!  I would say they were the perfect ring bearer and flower girl.

Her son walked her down the aisle.

We are gathered here today...

You may now kiss the bride!

Mr. and Mrs.

In the Details - Tom and Ellie: Part 2

The flower girl is so precious and was having a ball jumping around.

I love shots like these.

The groom's cake was made to look like a Church's Chicken box!  It was a huge hit!  I absolutely loved the seashell cake.
